Effective altruism meetup - Fermi estimates quiz night

How many beans are in this jar? And why does that matter?

Approximating the answer to "Fermi problems", as they are commonly called, helps us to render our understanding of the world explicit and calibrate our intuitions. (read some more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_problem)

Join us at 7 pm for a fun quiz with questions like "How many airplanes are in the sky at any given point in time?" and practice with us. Perform well and get a free drink!

Once everything's been estimated, we will open up the evening to freely discuss any topic and socialize. Quiz in English, estimates and discussion in whatever you prefer.

Not interested in the quiz? Feel free to join us later for a drink at Foound's bar.
